Dear Big Time Band,
I saw you play at Fager's Island in Ocean City, MD the summer of 2005. That's the
same night I met my fiance. We're recently engaged and planning a wedding next
January in Baltimore. We think it would be very fitting to have you play our
wedding.

Hoping to hear from you,
Amanda

The Big Time Band
Thanks to the Big Time Band for the great show you put on for 300IBMers in January!
Everyone enjoyed it immensely, and the packed dance floor was proof. I have gotten
many compliments about the band, especially the high energy & quality of the covers.
One guy told mehe thought you did the Bell Biv DeVoe song better then they did!

Thanks again...I hope wehave an opportunity to do it again.
Pat Lorden

Hi Guys,
My name is Kathy Foster, we danced and partied together
last Saturday night at Fagers Island in Ocean City. After Fagers
closed, we all went back to our condo at the Carousel. The company
and the misic were great and to top it off, we did not get busted by
the hotel security. I guess they liked the music as much as we all
did!!! I want to thank you very much for the fun . Hopfully we all
will come back together next Sept. (the last full weekend) for
another great "BIG" time in O.C.. I know that Holly and I will be
there!!!!! We will be at the Carousel and we will extend an
invitation to come back to the condo and party. Please put my email
address on your mailing list. Holly and I would love to come to
hear you before next year. I will be looking forward to getting your
schedule and seeing you all again!

Thanks Again,
Kathy

Just a bunch of regular guys
By Pete Beisser
OCEAN CITY -- Readers, meet Big Time. They're just a bunch of normal guys having a
good time, playing cover music well. They're also not your typical spiked hair, mesh
shirt-wearing, angry-for-no-reason wannabes you'll occasionally throw away a few bucks to see.

Big Time, meet our readers.

They're music lovers who will warmly welcome you for your unpretentious approach to
musical entertainment.
"We're not your typical run-of-the-mill six thin guys with the blond hair and streaks in our hair,
" says band member Dave Gill. "When you come out to see us, you're going to see a big
fun-loving band."

Lead singer Nick Centrella reiterates the band's "bigger is better" tagline.

"We're more inclined -- with the way we look as regular guys -- to mock the rest of the
business and those guys who try to be rock stars," Centrella says. "I think it works because
the main thing we find is the first reaction to our appearance is, 'What are these guys
 going to do?'"
Take at quick look at the accompanying photo of Big Time -- that being Centrella,
 saxophonist/keyboardist/singer Gill, guitarist/keyboardist Marc Storace,
lead guitarist Dan Rowley, bassist Mark B. and drummer Jeff MacFarland -- and you'll see
what they're getting at. They look just like you and me -- except they know a bit more
about carrying a tune than most of us do.
"People become even more wowed by us when they hear us," Centrella says. "It works
to our advantage, them going in not expecting a lot."
Understanding their role at the end of their audience's work week is key reason for this
band of six Philadelphia-area musicians' quick rise to prominence in the regional coverband
circuit since their formation last May. Their membership hails from several defunct bands --
The Schoolboys, Redline, King Friday and The Freakin Cads.
Now, the sky is the limit for these guys. Their summer schedule is quickly getting filled up
with an assortment of venues in Philadelphia, the New Jersey beaches and Ocean City that
have enjoyed their stops so far.
After coming down for the first time to Ocean City to play a Labor Day engagement, the
guys will return to Ocean City this weekend for another night of dance infused party band
 at Fager's Island.

They'll be there to kick things off around 10 p.m. Saturday night.

With a set list that runs the full gamut of fun songs you want to hear when you're throwing
back a few drinks and looking to dance and three-part harmonies provided by three lead
singers of those former bands, their mission is simple -- appeal to everyone between the
ages of 21 and 55.

How do they do it, you may ask?

"You get some people that think they're rock stars," Gill says. "You're playing cover music,
you're not a rock star. We try to put on a party. Anytime you come to see us, we're there
to put on a party."
According to the guys in Big Time, you'll get songs they feel they're able to sell well that
are geared toward what will go over with women.
They play decent cover tunes, get girls to dance and don't come off like a bunch of pompous
D-level superstars.

What more could you really ask from a cover band on a Saturday night?

Hey guys!
You were great at Fager's on Saturday night! We really enjoyed your
music and interaction with everybody.
Your keyboard player took a picture of me and my friend dancing off to
the side...any chance you might put it on your website or e-mail it to
me? It was her first time out since having a 2-year old daughter and
she wanted to (and did) get crazy!
Do you ever play in the Balto/DC area?
Thanks for a good time!

Hey guys!
Have you ever played in Philly or are you planning on it anytime soon? I
saw your show at the Trappe last month and we had a blast! If you haven't
already, you should check out Finnigan's Wake.

Take it easy,
Kim
